California is home to the clean energy revolution but how are Latinos participating, what impacts will the clean “green” economy and environmental public policy have on local Latino neighborhoods? The new CLLI Latino Green blog will address various environmental issues affecting California Latinos in both urban and rural areas.

With an extensive experience working in federal, state and local government environmental public policy issues including climate change, solar power and clean fuels, CLLI Fellow Alumni, Jorge Madrid, will serve as the editor of Latino Green and post on a regular basis.

During Hispanic Heritage month September 15 – October 15, 2015, CLLI will feature a four part Youtube video series, “Latino Green On The Road”, with interviews conducted by Jorge Madrid highlighting California’s diverse Latino urban and rural communities.

“Jorge Madrid is a proven environmental leader and expert on Latino engagement. CLLI welcomes the Latino Green blog to the CLLI website,” stated Maria Hernandez, CLLI Chairman.
