(PASADENA, CA) – The California Latino Leadership Institute, (CLLI), presents the first annual Tri- County Women’s Empowerment Summit at Fullerton College, 321 East Chapman Avenue Fullerton, CA 92832 on Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 8:00am – 5:30pm.

300 women from Orange County, San Bernardino and Los Angeles County are expected to participate in the all-day event. Presenting partners include: New Economics for Women (NEW); Mt. Saint Mary’s University (MSMU); Stanford’s Clayman Institute for Gender Research; and CA Women Lead.

“Fullerton College is proud to sponsor this first annual event and provide resources, knowledge and networking opportunities for women of the Tri-County area,” stated Dr. Amber Rose González, Conference Chair and Assistant Professor of Ethnic Studies at Fullerton College.

Program highlights include: the 2015 Report on the Status of Women and Girls in California by MSMU that explores multiple gender gaps that impact women and girls throughout our state; Stanford’s Clayman Institute will present research on gender bias and the role it can play in shaping different leadership outcomes for men and women; a lunch panel presentation from women leaders who powerfully ignite their teams; and a closing networking tea with Congresswoman Grace Napolitano, 32nd CD; State Senator Janet Nguyen, 34th Senate District and Assembly Member Cristina Garcia, 58th Assembly District.

General Admission is $40 per person and student admission is $10 per person prior to June 26, 2015. Registration increases to $100 for general admission and $25 for students at the door.
