WHAT:

First annual Sacramento Benefit Luncheon HONOR, VALOR & SACRIFICE honoring the graduation of the 2015 Inaugural Veterans Leadership Academy Fellows. Proceeds benefitting the Sacramento El Soldado Memorial Monument. Highlights include:

Graduation keynote address by

– Brig. Gen Sylvia Crockett, California National Guard.

Presentations by

– Assembly Member Rudy Salas, 32nd Assembly District

– Assembly Member Rocky Chavez, 76th Assembly District

– CALVET Acting Secretary, Debbie Endsley

– Daniel Contreras, Chairman, Mexican American Memorial Committee

WHO:

Presenting Partners include: The California Latino Leadership Institute, (CLLI); the Mexican American Veterans Memorial Committee, (MAMC); Headline corporate lunch sponsor, Coca Cola And various members of the State Senate and Assembly Veterans Committee.

WHY:

California is home to the largest number of veterans in the nation with 1.9 million and Latino/Latina veterans are the largest ethnic group represented with 296,000. The El Soldado Veteran Memorial Monument is the only Latino veteran memorial on state capitol grounds in the nation and it was vandalized June of 2015.

COST

General Admission is $50 per person.
