California Latino Leadership Institute, (CLLI), is currently the premier Latino lead, nonpartisan 501(c) (3) nonprofit leadership development organization targeting Southeast Los Angeles youth and women statewide. The cornerstone of CLLI’s leadership programs is to focus on culturally diverse individuals and create an inclusive environment for learning skills that address: soft skills, conflict negotiation, team building, workforce employment, expanding career “tool kits”, mentoring, and the sharing of California’s rich diverse history.
The 2017 CLLI 21st Century Leaders Programs includes the:
CLLI Measurements of Success for all 2017 Program will be determined by:
- The CA History Project will distribute statewide, 50 Cinco de Mayo in A Box educators’ kits in California;
- The Women’s Empowerment Summit Program will expand into the Inland Empire and present three events, enroll 100 women participants at each event for a total of 300 women in 2017;
- Southeast Youth Workforce Fellows and Civic Engagement Program will successfully expand from the City of Huntington Park into the City of South Gate and graduate 14 Fellows. This will add to the alumni pool of 10 from last year for a total of 24 Southeast Fellow Alumni in 2017.
