Women still make up a small share of top leadership jobs in politics and business according to the Pew Research Center. CLLI launched the Central Valley Women’s Empowerment Summit Program in 2016 to address Central Valley women’ issues with gender gaps, career barriers and prospected for the future.
The Central Valley Women’s Empowerment Summit Program provides knowledge about resources and networking opportunities for a cross section of women participants by age, culture and interest including college students, small business owners, nonprofit leaders, community leaders and elected officials to succeed and improve their lives.
Each Summit is FREE to attend and has an expected attendance of 80-100 participants. The one-day Saturday program is broken into a networking breakfast, three morning sessions and a distinguished woman leader(s) awards luncheon. In 2019, CLLI is celebrating two events on:
March 23, 2019, Second Annual Fresno Summit, presented in partnership with Fresno Council President, Esmeralda Soria and
May 19, 2019, Fourth Annual Bakersfield Summit, presented in partnership with the offices of Assembly Member Rudy Salas, Jr. and Kern County Supervisor Leticia Perez.
Details of each summit will post after January 1, 2019.
