SACRAMENTO, California (August 11, 2016) – The California Latino Leadership Institute (CLLI) honored Walnut Councilman Robert “Bob” Pacheco yesterday with the inaugural Denny Samuel Legacy Award for Leadership at the CLLI’s second annual benefit lunch held at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento Hotel.

Program participants included: Senator Janet Nguyen, 34th District; Assembly Majority Whip Miguel Santiago, 53rd District; Assembly Member Rudy Salas, 32nd District, Cathy Rehies-Boyd, President of the Western States Petroleum Association and Mrs. Fran Samuel.

“Denny Samuel was a friend, mentor and founding board member of CLLI who passed away earlier this year. To honor his life’s work as an example of excellence in leadership, we can think of no other person more deserving of this honor than Bob Pacheco,” said Johnny Pineda, President CLLI.
